This exciting program offers a portrait of the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad in the early 1960s, featuring a variety of classic diesels pulling freight and passenger trains on the eastern end of the line. The originally-silent color film shot by Wilson Jones is greatly enhanced by the addition of perfectly-synchronized locomotive, train and environmental sounds. Highlights include:
Action along the Hoboken - Scranton mainline including Hoboken Terminal activities. Commuter and freight trains on the Boonton line from Croxton to Denville. Locomotives featured include: EMD F3, E8, FT, GP7; Alco PAs and roadswitchers; Fairbanks-Morse Trainmasters. Long distance passenger trains including the Phoebe Snow. 30 Minutes *VHS* Full Color Archival Film by Wilson Jones - Produced by Marc S. Balkin
